A viking resides in London.

The year is 902AD, and we are in London. It's a great day, the sun is shining, and the Thames is calmer than usual. All over town, people are enjoying the weather.

Then, in the distance, a boat appears. Its not a large boat, but not a small one either. It's just big enough to handle the waves out at sea... Yet, this is not just any boat, it's a vikingboat! One of the outposts calls to the people ''Vikings, vikings!''. The people panic and everyone rushes home, while the police rush towards the river. The other outpost, however, has a better look before calling to his coworker and the police ''It's seems empty, and there is no dragonhead out. that means its not on a raid''. The residents who overhear this come back out, confused.

The people towed the boat towards land. The deck was empty, exept for a small pile of fabric in the back of the boat. A policeman walks towards it and after removing a few layers of fabric, he turnes and says, in a surpriced tone ''There is a child here''. His surprised voice has an worried undertone to it. Another officer comes to him, and together, they removed the rest of the fabric. The men are confused. This is obviously a vikingboy, but why would the vikings send a child alone to sea?

The policeofficeres brought the boy to a doctor who lives by the London Bridge. The doctor awoke the boy and told him what had happened. Luckily, the doctor has previously been in the Scandinavian area, and is in regular contact with vikings through trade, so he knows how to speak in the viking way. After the doctor finised looking at him and patching him up, he gives the boy some food, and some new clothes.

Later that day, the doctor is talking to the two officeres who had brought the boy to him, and tells them what he has learned. ''His name is Friðrik Steinarson. He is 15 years old, and he's from Iceland. His farher, Steinar, was a vikingtrader. He also says he and his father were on theyr way to New Foundland when some norse vikings raided the ship and killed his father for fighting back. He is not a good navigator, and got lost at sea. He is very grateful for your help '' the doctor tells them. ''What will happen to him?'' asks the first officer, Arthur. ''Will he be returned home?'' asks the other one, Nick. ''Well'' the doctor starts. ''According to Friðrik, he has no family to return to, and they were going to move to New Foundland. I already asked if he wants to stay here with me, and he accepted my offer. He will be staying here, with me and my wife'' he concludes. Arthur and Nick look at eachother, surprised and confused.

3 years later, Friðrik is still living in London, as he will for the rest of his life. He thinks of the doctor and his wife and parents, and he has many friends. He is usually called Fred, since not many people are not able to prenounce his real name. Still, he loved London. He becomes a doctor, gets married, and gets kids here.
And till this day,
                     People still talk about the
viking that resided in London.
